A novel use for our phone boxes?

Visiting High Hutton recently i noticed they have transformed their old phone box into a Freecycling Centre – see link below

Claxton and Sand Hutton Parish Council meeting – 3rd Jan

The next meeting of the Parish Council will be held in Sand Hutton Village Hall at 7.30pm on Tuesday 3rd January.
Please note that the meeting will be held in the Committee Room and is on a Tuesday rather than the usual Monday because of New Year.
The meeting will discuss various village issues and planning applications but a key focus of this meeting will be the budget for next year 2012/13.
The minutes from previous meetings can be found on the website under the Parish Council heading and on the notice boards in the villages.

Broadband Scheme : NYCC Update

The County Council ‘Connecting North Yorkshire’ team have published an update on their website which can be read at the link below :

The seven volunteers from our local steering group will be meeting early in the new year to progress the bid from our local villages including Sand Hutton and Claxton.

Christmas Puddings

Sand Hutton School have some Christmas Puddings (from the Ultimate Plum Pudding Company) left if anyone would like one.
They are £5.00 each which includes a donation to school and are 454g.
School can be contacted directly, (01904 468308…… but we close next Tuesday.
They maybe available from The duke of York after this, but this is to be confirmed.
