Caroline’s Garden Diaries : Double Delight 26.2.13

Walking down the street, I notice the fallen flowers of a frangipani tree in a little garden. I often see them on the pavement under the trees and admire them as individual flowers but falling on the grass they make a very pretty picture. Makes the tree even more worth growing for its two seasons, flowers on the branch, flowers on the grass. (photo attached)

Later, I’m walking down to the beach (I mention this just to make you jealous), and go along some streets lined with a tree that has beautiful yellow flowers; not sure what they are, will have to ask the locals.

  1. Have been told the lovely yellow-flowered tree is Hibiscus tiliaceus.
