Summer Saturday Social

SAVE THE DATE!

The next Saturday Social will be on Saturday 15 August 10.30am – 12.30pm. Plenty of local produce to tempt you plus find out about the new style Village show.

STOP PRESS…. Beers coming to the Synolda Arms this Friday are represented by the following breweries: Suddaby’s, Wold Top, Ringwood, Daleside, Jennings, Badgers, Park and Marstons. There is also Guiness West Indies Porter, Ciders, wines in all colours and soft drinks. Hot Dogs will also be on sale.

Looking forward to seeing you at the Synolda Arms (aka Sand Hutton & Claxton Village Hall) on Friday from 7:30pm onwards.

Village Hall Update / Drop-Ins

In addition to the Community Library days operating throughout the summer months, (on the first Monday of each month), there is a drop in hour every additional Monday in June (but not 29th June), July and August (but not 31st August), between 10 and 11 am.

Meet members of your Hall committee and others for coffee and chat etc. All welcome!

Anaerobic Digester Update

GRAVEL PIT FARM : ANAEROBIC DIGESTER UPDATE
The Planning Inspector has now published his findings with regard to the Appeal Hearing. These are summarised below:

*Conditions 4, 5, 10 and 13 have been upheld. These relate to sourcing of feedstock, restrictions on tonnage, HGV routing and request for a Digestate Management Plan.
*Condition 9 regarding deposition of mud has been deleted.
*The subjects of cordon sanitaire and covenant lie outside the planning remit.
*Requests for costs from both parties were denied.
