Green Finger Tips meeting Thursday 7 April at 7.30pm

 ‘Gardening with Nature’ Sjaak Kastelijn

Sjaak Kastelijn is known for his work in the redevelopment of York’s Museum Gardens and the unique1.6 acre garden he has now created at The Dutch House, near Crayke.

Here, he has planted a natural, ecological and sustainable garden that is integrated into the surrounding local landscape as well as focussing on attracting wildlife. He will talk about how to incorporate ecological gardening principles into our gardens.

‘The joy from eco gardening is not only to have a fantastic garden but to have one which is full of life and has a diverse palette of wildlife’.

If there is enough interest, we hope to organise a visit to the garden and the Dutch House gallery and café later in the year. For more information see www.dutchhouseyorkshire.com
