Colour Photography Competition 2016

A Colour Photography Competition is being run this summer as part of the Annual Village Show. The theme of the competition is ‘2016- Year of the English Garden’ to include any images of  plants, flowers, borders, shrubs, trees, insects, pond life, animals or birds etc., celebrating a year in ‘The life of an English garden”

There  is a maximum of two entries in either a Junior class (11years and under of age), or Senior  Class, (12 years or over). There is an entry fee for each image (Junior  £2, Senior £3). Garden centre vouchers will be awarded as prizes for first, second or third places in each category.


Colour,  un-mounted A4  borderless prints, or high resolution JPEG images on a USB stick, can be submitted before, but no later than, midnight Monday August 1st 2016 to: Philip Orton, Granary Cottage, Claxton (468525), or  Caroline Hall, Fasgadale House, Hall Drive Sand Hutton (468376).

 OR – sent as an email  high resolution JPEG attachment to Philip Orton, askhampjo@gmail.com together with   your name, address and telephone number,  the  Class entered, and preferably a title for the image. The entry fee will be collected by arrangement.  Submitted  electronic  images will be prepared as borderless A4 prints by the organisers.  All prints will be spray mounted on strong card, suitable for eventual framing if desired. Entries will be displayed  on the day of the Sand Hutton and District Village Show, Saturday 3rd September 2016, and returned after the presentation of the Show awards and prizes.
