Reminder : GFT Thursday August 3rd visit to Beechcroft Farmhouse, Aldwark

On Thursday August 3rd at 7.00pm we have a visit to Beechcroft Farmhouse, Aldwark YO61 1UB

There is a delightful newly established country garden wrapped around a listed Georgian farmhouse (not open) and then an array of winding paths, leading through a series of smaller gardens with different planting themes. Cottage borders with old roses, tulips, clematis, a gravel courtyard with small formal pool, late and unusual perennials and grasses. Hidden areas with seating give a secluded feel.

The garden is an established part of the HGS scheme and we should have an interesting and enjoyable evening.

The visit starts at 7.00pm, the cost is £7.00 per person, including refreshments. Parking is along the road by the farm.

The Aldwark Arms, just down the road, is recommended both to eat and for a drink before or afterwards. www.aldwarkarms.co.uk.

I look forward to seeing you on the 3rd. If you’ve any friends, or prospective members, who’d like to come please ask them.

Best wishes

John
