CLAXTON & SAND HUTTON PARISH COUNCIL
As many of you will know, the parish council normally arrange a litter pick around this time of year when individuals / couples/ families pick litter at designated areas around the two villages. We had planned to organise one in March / early April prior to the commencement of verge mowing. However, we have been informed that, currently, Ryedale will not provide the equipment e.g. litter pickers, gloves, bags, high vis jackets nor will they allow us to take the trailer full of bagged rubbish to the depot.
In the absence of an organised event, please could we encourage villagers to undertake their own litter picks, in and between our villages, along the access roads and any known “hotspots” and to place collections in your own green bin if possible. If you have quantities / items too large for your own domestic bin, please contact the number given below.
We do have a small number of “litter pickers” available. If you would like to borrow one please contact 468404.
