Girlguiding Flaxton

Girls aged 5 to 14 from Claxton, Sand Hutton, Flaxton and the surrounding villages meet on a Wednesday night in Flaxton Village Hall for Rainbows, Brownies and Guides. Rainbows are aged 5-7, Brownies 7-10 and Guides aged 10-14.

At Rainbows, Brownies and Guides girls have the option to do an enormous range of activities suitable to their age group incuding crafts, adventurous activities, learning more about other countries, fun days and outings, trying new sports and games, earning badges, cooking, treasure hunts and going away together. The list could go on and on….

If you have a daughter who would like to join Rainbows, Brownies or Guides please contact Helen Fagan (District Commissioner) on helenmfagan@gmail.com.

We currently have spaces available for 7-10 year olds to join Brownies straight away and this year Brownies nationwide will be celebrating 100 years in the Big Brownie Birthday – so it’s a great time to join!

Flaxton Brownies are searching for another leader / helper

Would you be willing to help out with Flaxton Brownies (girls aged 7-10)? Due to house moves one of our leaders has recently had to leave so the unit would love to have another leader or helper.  We meet on Wednesday nights during term time in Flaxton village hall. Being a leader is be great fun and very rewarding. You don’t have to have been involved in guiding before, or commit to helping every week. Any volunteers to help would be appreciated. If you are interested then please contact Helen Fagan on helenmfagan@gmail.com for more information.

For more information about guiding in general please see http://www.girlguiding.org.uk/home.aspx or feel free to send Helen an email.
